Birthstone By Month

There is usually one birthstone for each month, but there are months that feature two birthstones. Usually, one of them is more important and more expensive.

You can use this list to easily find out which stone would be the most suitable to a person you with to make a wonderful gift.

January - Garnet

February - Amethyst

March – Aquamarine and Bloodstone

April – Diamond and White Sapphire

May - Emerald

June – Pearl, Moonstone and Alexandrite

July – Ruby

August – Peridot and Sardonyx

September - Sapphire

October - Opal, Tourmaline and Pink Sapphire

November – Topaz and Citrine

December – Turquoise, Blue Topaz and Tanzanite

Some moths have more than one birthstone due to various reasons. The modern list of birthstones was settled in 1912, but previous versions continued to be popular.

In addition, the birthstones for each month differed at various cultures. The Roman list was different from that of the Hebrews or the Sumerians.
